Have been thinking about this for a long time the more info i get the more i would love to live like that. Benn looking into homesteading for year, My husband and I own 65 acres in Falls Mills Va ( which most are timbers ) over the years we have had cows, horses and pigs but for the last 2 years we have only had chickens, which we just got rid of the old hens that were about 3 yrs old and kept the chicks which are from this spring.. we had small garden this year which didn't do so well ,but thxs to are friend they had plenty to go around.. Canned about bushel of tomatoes and some peaches and made some jam this year which was my first year i had canned.
